Interlocking should make your property easier to use, not just change how it looks. Bluestone Landscaping builds interlocking driveways, patios and walkways in Pickering, planning the layout around vehicle access, entrances, seating and the way water moves across the site. We also discuss repairs to areas that have settled or shifted.

What the service includes
A new installation can include removal of the existing surface, excavation, base preparation, paver laying, edge restraint and joint finishing. Material selection covers colour, texture, pattern and suitability for the intended use. A driveway needs to account for vehicle loads, while a walkway needs comfortable connections between entrances.
For existing interlock, the issue may be more than worn joint sand. Sunken areas, moving edges or poor drainage can require lifting and rebuilding part of the base. We review these conditions before suggesting a surface treatment alone.
Our process
We begin with measurements and a conversation about how you use the space. We check access, existing grades and nearby structures, then agree on the layout and materials. Any necessary permissions or utility locating are addressed before excavation.
Installation follows the agreed preparation and drainage plan. The base is placed and compacted, pavers are laid to the chosen pattern and edges are restrained. Joints are finished using an appropriate product, with attention to its application conditions. We explain care and when the new surface can be used.
What affects the cost
Area, excavation depth, soil conditions and the amount of old material to remove affect cost. Paver choice, curved layouts, steps, edging and limited equipment access can also change the work. Repairs depend on the cause of movement and how much reusable material is available, not simply the visible size of the depression.
Common questions
Can you repair interlock without replacing everything?
Sometimes. If the pavers are suitable for reuse, a local repair may involve lifting them, correcting the base and relaying the area. We assess whether a repair will address the cause rather than hide it.
Does new interlock need sealing immediately?
Not necessarily. Sealing depends on the paver product, its condition and your goals. We can discuss a separate maintenance plan and the manufacturer’s guidance instead of assuming every new surface should be sealed.
What should I send for a quote?
Send your address, approximate dimensions, photographs and the intended use. Mention drainage problems or access restrictions so the assessment starts with the important details.
